My 23rd birthday was a blast.. I have never had so much fun!! I decided to let Rollie plan it. And it was so amazing!! It started off with dinner at my favorite resturant with all of my friends and family. We had a great time. I even got a surprise guest.. My best friend.. Dusty, dressed up as a clown (there are pics on myspace)! It was so much fun. It was truly halarious. I have never had a clown before, and what better time than to turn 23! lol.
Then we commenced (by surprise) to my dads, when everyone attacked me with a brigade of 20 cans of silly string!! I was covered from head to toe.. I tried to run away, but it was dark!
We all hung out for hours and drank, and I opened presents, we danced, partied.. It was so awesome. I got cookie monster balloons, and a cake and jewelry and board games, movies, cds. It was a blast!! My big present though was my camera!! I am getting more and more into photography.. so rollie, dad, and mom all got together and got me a proffesional camera. It takes the best pictures. I love the thing so much! It has barely left my hand since Sept. 13th. :)
Then we all got shit faced basically. Why not? It was my birthday. Cant even remember everything I drank, much less what happened the rest of the night. But it was fun. It was really a blast! I thank everyone who came and hung out..
Oh, I almost forgot one of the best parts. Dusty and Rollie wrote me a song!! They wrote me the most beautiful song. I cry everything I hear it. I have never had anyone do anything that incredible for me. It touched me so much..:) I'll post the lyrics on here eventually.. lol

Back to my job.. Its still going very well. I am really starting to feel like I fit in 100% here. I enjoy the work and I have made some fantastic friends. I feel at home now, and I like that. I am over all the uncertainties with starting a new job and am onto the fun parts of it.
This job has forced me to grow up a lot, and become a much more responsible mature adult. I have started dressing better, getting up earlier, and most importantly appriciating time off! LOL...:) My house has been cleaner, my friends have been happier.. I am pretty much just stepping up to the plate on a lot of things. Getting my life organized so to speak. I have never been too much of a slacker, sure I didnt work for like 10 months (except for speedy entertainment, but that wasnt exactly 9-5), but I did have surgery and wasnt able to work for 6 months, after that I was just lazy..lol.. BUT, all that is over with now and I am back to a full time job that I am 100% sure I am turning into a career. yay!
Whats wrong with me? I cant seem to keep this damn thing up anymore! Maybe I have lost the will to write, maybe I am just too busy.. who knows..
I promise I will sit down one day and catch it all up. :)
Maybe I will start now.. lol

Well, I have went from being tired of being diabetic to almost not being diabetic at all. Yeah great huh? I have strayed a lot from my diet. Its a bad bad thing too. I have been so sick lately. I am forcing myself to do it again, and lose again all the weight I lost that I gained back.. lol. Now, I am finding, as I did before that it is not near as bad as I remember. I have been bringing salad to work and eating healthier. I have to, before I kill myself..:)
Umm I pretty much left Speedy Entertainment. I work full time now for Appalachian Cardiovasculaur Associates. And I absolutly love this job. It is so much fun. I started out as a medical assistant. I learned how to do ECGs, holter monitors, PFTs, hook people up for pacer checks, do vitals, workup charts etc. All that good assistant stuff. Now I have moved on and am enjoying learning more and more new things everyday. I am pretty much a transcriptionist now. I spend my time transcribing medical documents unless the nurses need me and then I help them with patients and do tests. It's really cool and I really like it. I have been here for almost 3 months now.
Anyways, I haveta run..
More later!

lol
The one wierd thing about diabetes is how it affects you.. Like.. Some things hurt some people while some things dont.. Like.. your not supposed to eat pasta or hamburgers or chicken fingers.. I can eat all of those and be fine.. But some things.. One bite will set me off..
Things that are bad for Sara:
Pizza.. (as long as it isnt pizza hut, I can have one or two pieces.. any more than that and I am sick!)
Chinese (in moderation.. the rice isnt too bad, but the saucy meat is..)
Fish (I have found no kinds of fish that dont make me sick)
KFC (BAD BAD BAD!!)
Ahh well, im still having fun finding out what I can and cant have...:(
On the bright side, i love diet drinks now, and have lost 50 lbs..
I even got my sis Liz into drinking them. She has lost like 20 lbs!!!
Rollie and I are taking Wade to the mall with us Thursday, it should be fun, wade is so halarious to be out with.. hehe.. I hope him and Liz join us on our weekend movie trips, that will be cool as hell!!
Anyway, my lunch is done.. CIAO!

Ahh cell phones.. The lap and luxury of us all.. Its so funny how they come and go. I was looking the other day at my Kyocera that I had in high school. While I loved that phone, and it served its purpose well, it is soo long gone and outdated that I doubt you could get service with it if you wanted to! Crazyness... Now I have a Razor... Silver.. valued at $220.00. And I know.. that it too, is already almost outdated.. Sheesh. How can we keep up? Computers are the same way.. Ipods, mp3 players, cameras. I heard the other day, that they have a 10 megapixel cam.. Geeeeeeshhh! That makes me feel sooo primitive for my 4.0!! Misty has like.. a 3! And its a dinosaur.. Crazy Crazy.. Someday the world is going to evolve much faster than we can keep up with and we will be left behind holding our old/outdated electronics..
My razor rocks though.. I got an awesome black case with silver stars for it.. Its so me.. hehe

I have been sick lately..:( Sucks ass.. I mean really really sick.. Head cold, cough, congestion, which means no sleep.... I have taken enough drugs to open a drug store just about. Plus I have a damn kidney infection, and I haveta drink cranberry juice, which I hate..
Anyways, I have been catching up on my movies. I watched "The Number 23" on Sunday. We spent the day at the mall, bumming around and shopping.. It was really nice.. except for the movie! It dissapointed me greatly. I am a huge Jim Carrey fan, but the movie was not all that great.. Jim Carrey did great in it might I add, but the point of the movie was ridiculous. Plus it ran like it was made for a 3rd grader. It told you every single detail of everything.. It left nothing to the imagination.
Ahh anyways, Im just grumpy, sickness sucks....:( Its been a while since Ive been sick. I almost forgot what it felt like..
FUCK! I am never going back to lower alabama again..
Misty came back with a nasty eye infection and a fucking spider bite..
I came back with a kidney infection and a much minor eye infection..
Rollie came back with a bitchin cold.. (Which Dusty and I both caught..!)
Im whiny...

We just went to see Ghost Rider and let me tell you that movie was bad ass! It was great on every level. It had just enough action, comedy, and adventure and storyline, but not so much that it was drawn way out. Go Nic Cage!!

The Attitude
First off, people at Mardi Gras were generally acting different. They were friendly mind you, I'm not saying that BUT, there was a different vibe floating about. The parades were shorter, the societies were stingier (even though we did get a truckload of stuff), and the atmosphere didnt seem as wild as last year. People just werent getting into it as much. Misty and I dolled up our faces with glitter and our hair with paint in an attempt to blend in, we ended up just sticking out, which was fine with us.. but not what we expected.
The Fighting
There were soo many fights. On the last day (Fat Tuesday) we ended up in the fucking ghetto, a very unsafe part of the street. We were quite unhappy about this. We were surrounded by bikers and basically all the white trash that your eyes could behold. It was nasty, dirty, and everything smelled like sewer. YUCK! Anyways, we were right in front of the police station, so we must have seen 5-10 people getting dragged by. Plus, a fight broke out right in front of us and the last parade had to be stopped for like ten minutes. It was crazy..
Incidents
Some poor guy fell off his horse, a few feet down from us. It was sad.. and scary, he was unconcious for the longest time just laying there. But before that even happened, a guy that got taken into the police station had seizures on the sidewalk and they had to call an ambulance after him. We also saw a kid with a broken arm, and the paper said a little girl got ran over and killed!
The People
Drunkeness was everywhere, including us. We brought bacardi and white russians and margaritas and shooters and beer. We were good to go, buzzin almost the entire time! We listened to the banter of some friendly canadians beside us one day as they rambled on about how they knew Brad and Angelina (yeah right!). And made friends with a poor old drunk guy going through a mid life crisis, lol.. Then there was Assless Chaps Man. he took the cake of all the wierd people we met. He strutted around in Assless Chaps with NO underwear for the longest time..When the cop told him to put underwear on, he obliged, then wearing ONLY underwear.. Yeah, i got pics.. lol Once Misty and I were coming under a balcony and some black guy shouts down at me "I love you!!" I gracefully looked up and replied "Yeah, I'm sure you do!" in which he replied with a drunken thumbs up to me and Misty "FAT GIRLS ROCK!!!!!" lol
The trip all in all was good. We ate at some nice places, did some good shopping despite the tenseness of the situation. We were a little stressed. We kept getting started late, which isnt a great big deal, I know.. But when you drive 5 hours to be there, you want to at least make the parades, I mean sheesh, that isnt too much too ask. We just couldnt get it together and it was frustrating!
I am glad to be home though. Dad used to always say about a vacation, "Its good to go, Good to come home!!". We got to visit some relatives and get some good R & R in.. That was fantastic..:D Can't wait till next year!!
